Accessible only by boat, Blake Island offers a change of pace not far from Seattle. This destination features blue waters, peaceful trails, driftwood-scattered beaches and views of the city and Mt. Rainier. Once off your boat or kayak, let your boots or bicycle take you down miles of trail to the island's interior, where forest animals and birds make appearances. Or stay near the water and fish, dig for clams in season or go scuba diving. Arriving by human-powered watercraft? Hunker down in one of the Cascadia Marine Trail campsites at the west end of the island for majestic sunsets over the Olympic Mountains. Whether you're lounging on your vessel or kayaking the Cascadia Marine trail Blake Island will exceed expectations. PARK FEATURES Blake Island Marine State Park is a 472-acre, marine camping park with 5 miles of saltwater beach shoreline and approximately 655 acres of saltwater bedland. The park is reachable by personal boat only. BOATING FEATURES Located in Kitsap County on Puget Sound, Blake Island offers 1,500 feet of moorage dock and 24 mooring buoys. Electrical service is available at the docks for a $6 fee. Trash receptacles are not available. This is a pack in- pack out park. BOAT MOORAGE Moorage fees are charged year round for mooring at docks, floats and buoys from 1 p.m. to 8 a.m. All moorage is first come, first served. Moorage stays are limited to 3 consecutive nights only. Boats larger than 45ft are not permitted to moor at buoys and are required to use docks. Two south-end buoys are restricted to boats up to 36ft; limits for these buoys are marked. There is a one boat, no rafting, restriction on all buoys. Daily and annual permits are available.
