.3 StM Portsmouth, VA – High Street Landing – Located in the heart of Historic Portsmouth. Free dockage with 36-hour limit, no more than 3 days in 30-day period. You must check in at the kiosk across from High Street Landing. There is no electric, water, or pump out. There are reports that the dock is a few inches under water at high tide. ICW FREE DOCKS contributor Deb Akey reported on September 20, 2018 that there is a 40’ vessel limit at both Portsmouth, VA free docks.

ICW FREE DOCKS talked with Edie at the Visitors Center on 10/31/18. She stated that both the North Landing and High Street docks are open. There is some damage at the North Landing docks, but they can still accommodate 3-4 boats. The No Docking sign is there because of the damaged docks area but doesn’t pertain to the entire dock. It is recommended that anyone planning to stay at North Landing or High Street contact the Visitors Center for current information about the status of these docks.
