Kayakers, canoeists and paddlers will find salty bliss on the bobbing waters of Joemma Beach. A quick boat ride, or a beautiful drive will lead you to the accessible solitude this park offers.

Things to do at this park Set on Key Peninsula in the middle of South Puget Sound, Joemma Beach is a quick boat ride or drive from Olympia, Tacoma and the shoreline communities in between.

Picnic and day use facilities The park provides sheltered and unsheltered picnic tables. The unsheltered picnic sites are all available on a first-come, first-served basis. The roofed picnic shelter is reservable.

Camping Reservable, primitive campsites are available May 15 through Oct. 1. Two hiker/biker sites are available on a first come, first-served basis. Two Cascadia Marine Trail sites are first come, first-served and available only to campers arriving by wind or human-powered watercraft.

Boating Joemma Beach has one boat ramp and 500-feet of floating dock space. The docks are available from mid-April through mid-Oct., offering 30-feet of moorage at low tide. Boaters have the right of way to the docks. Moorage fees are charged year round for mooring at docks, floats and buoys from 1 p.m. to 8 a.m. Daily and annual permits are available.
